Welcome back to what is hopefully a regular week with our alternating Blue and Yellow Group Schedule. As we get going this week with our the full launch of remote learning at home, we want you to know that if you have any questions or need help accessing the Canvas Platform we are utilizing for our students in grades K-5, or the Summit Platform we are utilizing for students in 6thgrade, please reach out.   

Please note that we planned for and trained for grades 4, 5, and 6 to be in the Summit Platform, but because we are an Academy School with multiple Universities in Utah, we were asked to align more with another Academy school as well as with Weber State University. In addition, if you need help with access or knowing more about programs such as Waterford, i-Ready Reading and Math, Seesaw, Sora, etc. that we are using, we are here to help. As parents, we thank you for adjusting your schedule and helping us to make the 5 days of school, two on-campus here at SC, and three at home in a remote working environment successful. Within that, we know that there will be times when you need support. Again, please don’t hesitate to call or email the teacher of your child or me.   

This year, amongst everything, we are continuing with our focus here at SC within all academic areas using the SAMR Model. This is where we look at what we are learning through the lens of if it’s Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and/or Redefinition. https://www.commonsense.org/education/videos/introduction-to-the-samr-model.
